Job Summary

The Warehouse Lead role ensures that the warehouse operates efficiently, maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting M&H personnel by providing necessary supplies and equipment in a timely manner.

Resource Staff, Area Managers, General Superintendents, Superintendents. Fore/Leadmen, Project Managers, Project Engineers and Office administration.

Typical Duties

Maintain a safety-first culture and actively participate in the “Safety Bucks” program.
Use of personal protective equipment as needed.
Lead weekly Toolbox Safety Meeting for all warehouse staff.
Promptly report warehouse, yard and equipment incidents.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other machinery safely.
Manage, purchase, approve warehouse consumables/tools invoices with cost and value in mind.
Organize and store materials in designated locations to maintain an orderly warehouse.
Prepare materials, tools and equipment as requested by M&H personnel.
Account warehouse consumable purchases by M&H personnel and accurately recorded in google workspace.
Assigning small tool numbers and transfers are accurately recorded in Vista.
Ensure tools and equipment are repaired in a timely manner.
Ensure the successful and efficient operation of the warehouse and yard.
Ensure regular cleanup for Railroad Avenue trash as needed.
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
Mentor warehouse personnel (Warehouse Assistant and Small Tool Mechanic).
Monitor overtime of warehouse employees.
Maintain a positive work environment.
Be available outside working hours to M&H personnel needs (including weekends).
Identify performance issues, developmental needs for warehouse/yard and develop a plan to address them with Resource Management.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred

Experience: Minimal 5 years’ experience in general knowledge of small tools, equipment and warehouse operations in the construction industry.

Language Skills: Ability in converse in English (Spanish highly valued but not required).

Certificates, Licenses, and Registration: Proficiency in Microsoft excel, word and Google workspace, CA driver’s license with a clean driving record, Forklift Certified (preferred but not required).

Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense understanding to carry out multiple step instructions. Deal with standardized situations with occasional variables

Compensation:

$30.00 - $35.00 /hr. based on skills, experience, and knowledge
